Hundreds of university students visited the ISIPO booth at Gulleggid's science trip

31. October 2022Events
The ISIPO took part in Iceland's largest "science trip" of the year on Friday. The entrepreneurial competition Gulleggið, and its partners, invited university students to a party in Gróska business growth center. The party was a great success and hundreds of university students stopped by the ISIPO stand, had some popcorn, and chatted with the office's representatives about patents, trademarks, and design. Some of our guests will, without doubt, become entrepreneurs in the near future, and got an important insight into the protection of intellectual property.
Gulleggid (The Golden Egg) is hosted by Klak - Icelandic Startups. It is the largest and oldest entrepreneurial competition in Iceland, and is now taking place for the 16th time. Companies that have taken their first steps in Gulleggid include Controlant, Meniga, PayAnalytics and Solid Clouds.
Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir, minister of universities, industry and innovation, addressed the guests in Gróska's lecture hall, Gulleggid's sponsors gave short presentations, and Gulleggid's project manager, Ása María Þórhallsdóttir presented what lies ahead in the competition.
Úlfur Úlfur, with the star duo Helgi Sæmundur Guðmundsson and Arnar Freyr Frostason, then took to the stage and entertained the guests until the evening.
Gulleggið is organised in collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committees of the University of Iceland and Reykjavik University.
