Social Fyrir Vefinn 2026 (1200 X 630 Px)

The Icelandic Intellectual Property Office, The Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannís), Business Iceland) and the Kría Innovation Fund invite you to the Iceland Innovation Congress 2026 at Gróska on Thursday 29 October, 14:00–16:00. This year's focus is innovation in rural Iceland. At the end of the congress, the Icelandic Innovation Award 2026 will be presented.

At the congress, entrepreneurs and companies from different sectors and regions will share their experience. What does it take for a good idea to grow outside the capital area, and what opportunities lie in local knowledge and regional strengths? Speakers include Knútur Rafn Ármann, founder of Friðheimar, Sesselja Reynisdóttir of Drift EA, and Anna Lind Björnsdóttir on Startup Landið, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Freyr Eyjólfsson.

Hanna Katrín Friðriksson, Minister of Industry, will open the congress and present the Icelandic Innovation Award. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

The congress is held in Icelandic.
