Nominations Open for the Icelandic Innovation Awards 2025

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Icelandic Innovation Awards. The awards are granted to a company deemed to have stood out in the development of a new product or service that is rooted in research and innovation and has achieved notable success in the market. The purpose of the awards is to highlight the vital link between research, knowledge acquisition, and increased value creation in the economy.
Anyone can submit a nomination by filling out the nomination form below. The nomination must include the name of the company and a brief justification explaining why the nominee is deserving of the award. After the nomination period ends, the award jury will evaluate all nominations and may request additional information from nominated companies as needed.
The jury comprises representatives from the award’s partner organizations: Rannís (the Icelandic Centre for Research), the Icelandic Intellectual Property Office (ISIPO), Business Iceland, and the Kría Innovation Fund, as well as past award recipients from the last three years. The recipient of the Icelandic Innovation Award will be announced at the Innovation Congress to be held on 30 October.
When selecting the Innovation Company of the Year, the jury considers whether the company is a new start-up, whether it is based on innovation, knowledge, research, and development. The added value of its products and its market success are also assessed. Additional criteria include the company's potential for long-term success, whether its innovation management sets a good example, and whether the company serves as an inspiration to others.
