Carbfix Named Finalist for the 2025 WIPO Global Awards

23. May 2025

Carbfix has been nominated for the 2025 WIPO Global Awards in the environmental category. These prestigious awards, presented annually by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), recognize outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, and university spin-offs for their innovative achievements, strong intellectual property (IP) strategies, and significant contributions to economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

Carbfix is one of 30 companies selected from a pool of 780 applicants representing 95 countries. The winners will be announced by WIPO Director General Daren Tang at a special awards ceremony held during the WIPO Assemblies at the Organization’s headquarters in Geneva on July 11, 2025.

In selecting finalists and awardees, WIPO places particular emphasis on:

  • Transforming research and ideas into commercially viable solutions
  • Driving business growth through robust IP strategies
  • Developing innovations that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Winners of the Global Awards receive a customized mentoring program led by WIPO experts, designed to strengthen their IP strategies and support growth, commercialization, and access to financing. In addition, winning companies benefit from global visibility through WIPO’s promotional channels.

More information about the WIPO Global Awards and this year’s finalists can be found on WIPO’s website.
